Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce (Surf and Turf) π₯©π€

Ingredients:
2 steaks (your choice: ribeye, filet mignon, or strip) π₯©
1 tablespoon olive oil π’οΈ
Salt & pepper to taste π§
1 tablespoon butter π§
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined π€
2 garlic cloves, minced π§
1/2 cup heavy cream π₯
1/4 cup chicken broth π
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning πΆοΈ
1/2 teaspoon paprika πΆοΈ
1/2 teaspoon thyme πΏ
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish) πΏ
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
Season both sides of the steaks with salt π§ and pepper.
Heat olive oil π’οΈ in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the steaks to your desired doneness (about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare).
Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
Prepare the Shrimp Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter π§ over medium heat.
Add minced garlic π§ and sautΓ© for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp π€ and season with Cajun seasoning πΆοΈ, paprika πΆοΈ, and thyme πΏ. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes), then remove the shrimp and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
In the same skillet, add heavy cream π₯ and chicken broth π. Stir to combine, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.
Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, thickening slightly.
Return the shrimp to the pan and mix well, allowing them to heat through in the creamy sauce.
Assemble the Dish:
Place the cooked steak on a plate.
Pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce with shrimp on top of the steak.
Garnish & Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley πΏ for a pop of color and freshness.
