Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce (Surf and Turf) 🥩🍤

Ingredients:

2 steaks (your choice: ribeye, filet mignon, or strip) 🥩
1 tablespoon olive oil 🛢️
Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
1 tablespoon butter 🧈
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined 🍤
2 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
1/2 cup heavy cream 🥛
1/4 cup chicken broth 🍗
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning 🌶️
1/2 teaspoon paprika 🌶️
1/2 teaspoon thyme 🌿
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish) 🌿

Instructions:

Cook the Steak:

Season both sides of the steaks with salt 🧂 and pepper.
Heat olive oil 🛢️ in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the steaks to your desired doneness (about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare).
Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
Prepare the Shrimp Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt butter 🧈 over medium heat.
Add minced garlic 🧄 and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp 🍤 and season with Cajun seasoning 🌶️, paprika 🌶️, and thyme 🌿. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes), then remove the shrimp and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:

In the same skillet, add heavy cream 🥛 and chicken broth 🍗. Stir to combine, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.
Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, thickening slightly.
Return the shrimp to the pan and mix well, allowing them to heat through in the creamy sauce.
Assemble the Dish:

Place the cooked steak on a plate.
Pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce with shrimp on top of the steak.
Garnish & Serve:

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley 🌿 for a pop of color and freshness.

Enjoy! 🎉🥩🍤
This Surf and Turf dish is perfect for a romantic dinner or any special occasion. The creamy, spicy Cajun sauce perfectly complements the rich flavor of the steak and shrimp. 😋🔥
