BLT Sandwich (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato)

Ingredients:
For the Sandwich:

4 slices of whole grain or white bread
4 slices of bacon
1 tomato, sliced
4 large lettuce leaves (preferably iceberg or romaine)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or more, to taste)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:

Start by cooking the bacon. In a large skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
Toast the bread slices to your preferred crispiness. You can use a toaster or toast them in a skillet with a little butter for extra flavor.
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
On the bottom slice of bread, layer the lettuce leaves, followed by the sliced tomato. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper for added flavor.
Place two slices of crispy bacon on top of the tomato.
Top with the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
