Chili Cheese Dog with Crispy Tater Tots

Ingredients:

For the Chili:

1 lb ground beef
½ small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup beef broth

For the Hot Dogs:

4 beef hot dogs (grilled or seared for extra flavor)
4 hot dog buns (lightly toasted)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup diced onions (optional, for topping)

For the Tater Tots:

1 bag frozen tater tots
1 tbsp olive oil (for extra crisp)
½ tsp seasoned salt

Instructions:
1. Make the Chili:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
Add onions and garlic, cooking for another 2 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.

2. Cook the Tater Tots:

Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).
Toss frozen tater tots with olive oil and seasoned salt.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

3. Prepare the Hot Dogs:

Grill or sear the hot dogs over medium-high heat until slightly charred.
Lightly toast the buns for extra texture.

4. Assemble the Chili Cheese Dogs:

Place hot dogs into the buns.
Spoon over a generous amount of chili.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt.
Top with diced onions if desired.
