Cajun Shrimp & Fried Chicken Feast 🍤🍗

Ingredients (Serves 2)

2 chicken breasts 🍗
1 cup flour 🌾
1 tsp paprika 🌶️
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 🌶️
8 oz penne pasta 🍝
1 cup heavy cream 🥛
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 🧀
12 large shrimp, peeled 🍤
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning 🌶️
1 onion, sliced 🧅
1 cup dirty rice (pre-made or follow package) 🍚
2 tbsp butter 🧈
Salt and pepper to taste 🧂🌑
Oil for frying 🛢️

Instructions

Fry the Chicken 🍗: Season flour with paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken breasts in the mixture. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
Cook the Pasta 🧀: Boil penne in salted water for 10-12 minutes until al dente. Drain. In a pan, melt 1 tbsp butter, add heavy cream, and stir in Parmesan until creamy. Toss pasta in the sauce and set aside.
Prepare Cajun Shrimp 🍤: In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, then add to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and coated with the onion mixture.
Heat Dirty Rice 🍚: Warm the dirty rice in a pan or microwave according to package instructions, or prepare with your favorite recipe.
Assemble the Plate 🍽️: Slice the fried chicken and place it on one side of the plate. Add a generous portion of creamy penne pasta, top with Cajun shrimp and onions, and serve dirty rice on the side.
